You are heartily welcome between 3:00 and 6:00 PM. On your departure day, we ask you to check out by 10:00 AM so we can prepare the room(s)/gîte for the next guests.
Sometimes it is! Please contact us in advance so we can check our schedule.
Unfortunately, that’s not possible. We need the time between check-out and check-in to get everything ready for the new guests.
On the property, we have our two lovely dogs: Roos and Fay, who live with us (Paul & Ellen) in the Château. Additionally, there are many birds to spot, and if you’re lucky, you might see a deer early in the morning.
Yes, we have ample free parking for all our guests. No stress about finding a spot!
We have free wifi in both the Château and the gîtes. So, you can post your pictures and make your friends jealous anywhere. Of course, keep in mind that we are located in the French countryside. The Wifi quality and speed are thus much lower than, for example, in the city!
Absolutely, we have a lovely shared outdoor pool (octagonal; 8 x 4.5 meters) for you to cool off in (it is not a heated pool). Don’t forget your swim gear! Bath slippers (or water shoes for kids) are mandatory, as the terrace can sometimes splinter. There is a fence around the pool with a safety door so adventurous kids or animals can never accedently fall in the water.
Please check our cancellation policy on the website, which can vary depending on the season and room. When in doubt, you can always contact us.
Yes, you can! Please contact us to see what we can do for you.
The entire grounds of Le Grand Biard cover about 16 hectares, so there’s plenty of room to explore! You can take a walk through the garden, play games on the lawn, enjoy a swim, play a classic game of pétanque, bounce on the trampoline, or have fun in the play area.
Absolutely! There’s a shared playroom equipped with a ping-pong table, table football, and a variety of books and board games that you can borrow!
The area around Le Grand Biard is full of fun activities. You can rent bicycles, go on hiking trails, or visit local wine producers. There are also many historical sights nearby. Check under the ‘surroundings’ section for our recommendations.
The nearest town is just a 15-minute drive away. It’s a charming little town called Montrichard, with nice shops, restaurants, and markets.
In 20 minutes you’ll find Loches.
Then we suggest heading to Blois or Tours, you’re guaranteed to find what you’re looking for!
Get ready to indulge in a lavish breakfast spread featuring fresh bread, a variety of cheeses, meats, yogurt, fruit, and of course a local croissants! Plus, there’s an endless supply of coffee and tea to kickstart your day.
Absolutely, in case of any allergies contact us so we can discuss what we can do for you. When mentioned upon arrival, you’re less lucky because groceries might have allready be done.
Our rooms range from cozy doubles to spacious suites complete with a charming turret room. Each one offers unique charm and character for a memorable stay.
No, we’ve got you all covered! Bedding and towels are included. You only need to bring your own beach towel if you want to enjoy the pool area.
For sure, some rooms can accommodate an extra bed. Give us a heads-up when booking, and we’ll see what magic we can work. We’ve got foldaway beds for kids (or small adults) and cots for the tiny ones, with a small additional charge for the extra comfort.
Our Château is a classic, which means it’s stairs-only. We do have two rooms on the first floor, but please note, they’re not specially equipped for limited mobility. If in doubt, just send us an email, and we’ll figure it out together.
Embracing the historic charm means no elevator, but don’t worry, the stairs are part of the Château’s character.
You’re totally welcome to stash your own snacks and beverages in your room. There’s a shared fridge in the hall of the Château to keep your goodies chilled.
Since we’re a bed & breakfast, cooking is not an option. There are many nice restaurants in the neighborhood. We’re more than happy to assist with restaurant recommendations and reservations!
We love furry friends, but pets need to take their own little vacation elsewhere, as they’re not permitted in the Château.
“La Remise” is a gîte with 3 bedrooms: two with double beds and one with twin beds. “La Ronde” features 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed, and the top bedroom also includes a sofa bed. These two gîtes can be connected through an interior door, so if you’re traveling as a group, you can combine them to sleep up to 14 people. “La Ferme,” our third gîte, has 3 double bedrooms, with beds on the upper level that can be separated if needed.
Absolutely, your furry friends are welcome in the gîtes! We just ask that you give us a heads up beforehand. There’s also a small charge of 25 euros per pet, per stay, to cover the extra cleaning work.
Note 1: please make sure to clean up after your dog. We really appreciate your cooperation in keeping the place tidy for all our guests!
Noe 2: Dogs are not allowed on the couches or beds.
On request, we can provide a baby cot and high chair for our little guests.
The gîte “La Ronde” has a wheelchair-accessible bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. However, the gîtes are surrounded by gravel, so getting around on the property might be challenging with a wheelchair. Please let us know when you make your reservation, so we can ensure the right accommodations are arranged for you.
No, there’s no elevator available. Our gîtes are traditional and embrace their rustic charm, which means they’re not equipped with modern lifts.
There is no need to bring your own bed linen or towels – we provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. We kindly ask you to bring your own bath towel for use at the pool. A set of kitchen towels and cleaning cloths is also provided.
No, but we do have a lot of recomendations!
We didn’t found out the the art of online food ordering out here in the countryside!
